Bare Minerals Eye Shadow - Drama

Hello everyone!

If you are a regular reader, you may notice a new product on the left column - Bare Minerals Eye Shadow, Drama.  A while ago, I confirmed that all Bare Minerals (from the company Bare Escentuals) products are gluten free.  That includes the foundation, which I am trying now (love it!), eye shadow, and other products.

There are mascaras and lip products that ARE NOT safe, so don't just go up there and pick out whatever you want.  I'm sticking to the eye shadow and foundation for now, branching out later.  Here's the page on their website that shows their gluten free makeup choices.

I'm currently into the "Drama" eyeshadow.  It's a wonderful shiny onyx color with a hint of warmth.  I can brush this on my lower lid over a light overall base color and be totally done with my eye shadow for the day.  It creates enough contrast to be interesting, but not so much that I look like I'm glammed up for a night on the town.  Now, I can do that if I apply more.  I've done it a few times when I've gone out and the look is fabulous.  But it doesn't take much to make an impact.  Love, love, love it!

When I get the chance to try a few more Bare Minerals products, I'll let you know.

Thanks!

Erika

It's good to see this confirmed. I have seen random blogs saying its got gluten, it hasnt. It becomes confusing. I use Bare Minerals daily, so I would be devastated if it did have gluten, its the best makeup I have found to date.

What great info on makeup! I love it! So easy to just worry about not eating gluten, but important to remember our bodies cannot tolerate any exposure. Thanks for sharing! Liking the blog!

Thanks for this very helpful information! I've been GF in my diet for 1.5 years now, but never thought about my cosmetics before. I've been battling with eczema recently--very specifically around my lips and eyes. This also happens to be the only place I put cosmetics of any kind. Hmmm, this blog has now been an "eye opening" experience so to speak. Looks like I'm getting rid of a lot of make up and trying out Bare Mineral make up. Thanks for all the useful research!
